Time to build an AS car, my 24 hours of lemons car converted to AS ain't gonna cut it any more. I have made up this excel / .txt sheet with parts to build a LT1 Cambird limited prep car. I have both a 2000 Firebird and a 95 Camaro that I can build and have not decided what car to go with yet LS1 vs the hot cam LT4. I was leaning toward the LT1 as a power plant because I thought that the LT1 with the LT4 hot cam that is allowed might be a better option than the stock LS1. One day I hope to make it a full prep car but the cost of building a full prep engine is what is keeping me away from that at the moment.
I am looking for input on parts that I have chosen or which combo will work better. Any input will help tremendously. I hope the attachment works.

It all looked reasonable to me. Definitely agree with LS1.

It looks as tho you are looking at 16k+ not including the donor car and or powertrain. I know you can buy the fastest LP Fbody in the country for well under 20k---including spare tires and wheels.
I've actually built one of these cars (well really 2) and know the parts to use, and what works. If you need info pm me-- Dean |
