Default More sad news

Long time SCCA member, driver and owner of Shock Shop, Chris Billings passed away last night in his sleep.

He drove the red Fox Mustang at the Runoffs for about 8 consecutive years from 1997 to about 2004.

His set up Knowledge, Engineering skills and free advise will be sorely missed by me and others. He was a Good friend of mine.

That is very bad news. I just talked to him, and sent him my shocks for rebuild. He was excited about his airplane and his new home on a private air strip. He was a great guy and an asset to Club Racing and ASedan.

Hard to believe. Chris encouragement helped get me into AS racing about
20 years ago. I always enjoyed racing against him, and bench racing with him.
He will be missed.

Chris had an RV aerobatic plane that he had been spending time flying from a private strip where he had moved, I believe, recently. It was good talking to him and hearing the excitement in his talk about the airplane.

Jim, I'll make sure you get your shocks back. Do you think they have arrived at Chris' house yet?

I got a call from his wife today. I was touched that she would take the time to call me when there were so many more important things with which to deal at this time. The shocks just arrived. I told her to not worry about them and that there was no hurry returning them. Thanks for asking.

Scott,
I didn't want to bother Chris' widow, so, when you have time, could you have the shocks sent to:
Donny
RE Suspensions
201 Rolling Hill Road
Mooresville, NC 28447

704-664-2277

I will send you a check to cover shipping. Thanks,
wheel
