Going back to 1998, I remember bigger fields, but I don't think there was ever a field deeper in talent and good equipment.

Default Is there live coverage this year?

Is there going to be live coverage this year, it can't get much better than last years finish, but you never know!!

If there is coverage, what date and what time please.

Final grid for 1998 showed 40 cars put in Q times. There were 39 starters and 32 finishers. Ross Murray won and Keith Mitchell (2nd) and Bob Griffith (3rd) were both DSQ. Andy McD was running 4th (2nd) until a mechanical took him out on the last lap. wheel Q 28th and finished 14th. Jerry Post Q7th and finished 4th.

It starts to matter today.

Seems that a lot of people where having some minor issues yesterday. You can get the times from Live Timing on the SCCA website. Andy was the pick of the litter as usual. Something like a 2:27.500. I think Sloe broke 2:30.00 and the rest of us where in the 2:30.00ís. Werth turned a good lap and some of the young guns are figuring this place out. Followed Amy A. and she can really move that Firebird around. Thought I could easily catch her but she turned it up and ran a 2:33.5. Almost beat Heinrocket. Andy D and Dean Smith had a bit of fun in the pits.

Mondayís practice was a bit of a waste, a T-2 vette lost an engine going into 8 and put down an amazing amount of oil. I was just rounding 7 when I saw the smoke. There was so much oil on the track it looked like a heat mirage you see on a hot summer day. The driver did get the car off line really quick which was nice but it brought out a black flag and we had to sit in the pits for about 8 minutes.

Very cold this morning-39. Should be a nice day highs in the mid 60ís.

Let the games begin.

Hey Phil,

Are you referring to Dane Smith and Andy Mcdermid?

An eyewitness on the pitwall reported Andy backing up to the front of Dane's car and did a full reverse burnout pushing Dane's car backwards into the next pitstall. True? Not true? And it was reported protests were filed. Any penalties assessed? Not my idea of fun but thats just me.

Best of luck to all.
Wish we could be there, sure could use some of that frigid weather.
