The GCR for March has been published online, including the rules for wheels. I promised to pass along what I ordered for our 3rd Gen. I have found these wheels in several places, but, the supplies can be spotty.
They are: American Racing, VN21579562, 17X9 1/2 inch wheels. Offset is quoted as either 6mm or 8 mm offset. Pam |

I have done a lot of research on wheels for GM as well. Specifically 4th gen. Besides those, there's not many options when you search 5x120.65.
But I have found that some guys are using 5x120 BMW wheels with good luck and don't see much talk about that. I know of at least 3 teams at the Runoffs using that size. I have a BMW and both sets of 17" wheels I have slide right on. The center bore of the wheel is bigger but not an issue if you are using spacers. The bad news is that there aren't many size options for these either as 17" isn't a size too many Bimmer guys are using anymore, esp. in 9"+ wide. Apex makes a good wheel and has some in 5x120 including a 17x10 but the offset isn't ideal so I probably wouldn't go that route. Their 17x9 would work though as would possibly the 17.9.5 Lots of track and racing teams use these wheels. Konig makes two options in 17x9. Forgestar makes one option in the F14 and has custom options of colors and sizes. There are a couple other 5x120 options but nothing I'd race on. If I were to order new wheels I'd go with the Bimmerworld TA5R 17x9.5. It has 3 color options, race worthy, and reasonably priced. They also have a forged option for not that much more money. |
