https://cdn.connectsites.net/user_fi...pdf?1639428049 What's up with having "regional only" rules? *Edit* I think this is the same as what's listed in the December thread but these are the full links and labeled as January. Feel free to combine the threads. Last edited by rx555; 12-19-2021 at 04:48 AM. |

So i believe because the spec aluminum head is not being made anymore they are trying the replacements out at the regional level before it goes national.

Agree, that is the plan.
Question: Are there any regional only teams or national teams going to regionals planning to build a special motor with those heads and other requirements? Seems like an expensive proposition for a team to eval them. Question: Will there be data collection at a race that someone is evaluating the heads? Question: What are the eval data and how will they be compared to say, the current AL heads? Question: Will the eval process include the same evaluators switching from the eval heads back to the current AL heads and re-testing to get direct comparisons? Seems like this is going to be a difficult eval process... Those involved with planning this (ASAC), please feel free to enter info here on the plans and help us to understand better what your thoughts and views are. Thanks, Pam Richardson |

Do you think we should get the head flowed before you start installing them
you don't realy think some one will buy and install a set of heads and find out they are illegal the next year. Get them flowed compare to the old heads is that not what we did to existing aluminum heads and cast heads. Talk about a change that will cost money. Do you realy want to change rules again. why don't we take a survey to see how many reginal guys are going to or wants to do this. Ask Smitty at edelbrock about a run of the old heads Ford and Cevy. If you can find out how many pairs they need to make a run it will make it better for all. there are a lot of first Gen edel. aluminum heads out there don't make people toss a good set of heads out. Or just one if you ruin one. Sorry for bithching but think it out before you start chanching again. Ken Felice |

Hey, they left us alone this month. But IT racers are losing their minds this month.
