2014 Runoffs

I will be attending the Runoffs and plan on being there most of the week. I look forward to meeting up with everyone that made the long trip out here to race. The weather should be in the 70s and patchy fog in the mornings most of the week.

I also can help out as crew Monday through Friday if you are short on personnel. Please let me know by email or PM so I can bring any tools I may have that would help.

It is a blatant pander to try and create good feeling prior to the Charlie Foxtrot that is about to take place.

Pure politics. Otherwise, it would be handed back to people as the register, and not sent to everyone as "look at us.... nothing to see over there" distraction.

Open up the books, show us the detail for the entire event, and I'll start to believe.

Some for entry, some for distance, some, like myself, due to parking issues. Possibly perceived ones, but we will find out in a few days.

Entry fee is the minor part of the whole thing. You should see the fee I just paid to run at Daytona with HSR in November.

OTOH, if I do every session, it will be somewhere north of 12 hours on track, with 2 30 min sprint races, a 90 min enduro, and 4 one hour race segments across 24 hours, running at dusk, night, dawn and noon.

Well first the tell us they dug a huge hole with previous entries fees into debt. So they up the fees for this year and all of the races to dig themselves out. the LAST THING i would expect is to get money back because they overshot an event. Even if it $5 i would respect that.

Enjoy your stay in the Monterey area. The weather should be great. Be sure to visit Monterey in the evening for some great fish. The AS race should be great. I wish I could be there to help and watch, but I got called out of town on business.
