Default Question on Edelbrock heads - chevy

I see that the SCCA Edelbrock heads have 3/8-16 threads for
the screw-in rocker arms. To run 7/16" rocker studs have people
using these heads removed the thread inserts and remachined for
7/16-14 rocker arm studs, or have they used rocker arm studs
for Mark V engine conversion such as ARP 135-7102 or
Comp Cams 4514-16 that have 3/8-16 threads for the head, while
having 7/16-20 for the rocker arm portion?

Thanks for any information/opinion you are willing to share.

Thumbs up Edel heads

The 7/16 studs will work on heads,The3/8's has 7/16 14 in head. They are all same 3/8's or 7/16's.Bigger the better watch the 3/8's stud flex when you just turn eng.over by hand spring pres.does a lot of funny things. Hope that helps. Stud gird.will help keep studs in line when running RPM.

My bad, the threads the rocker arms screw into are 7/16-14. They
didn't seem like it because the studs from my iron heads threads were
a little chewed up, and so wouldn't thread in nicely. When I tried a
nice clean 7/16-14 bolt (an old oil pump bolt) it went in nice and easy.

Nothing like revealing my doh moment(s) to the world .

Thanks Ken for pointing out my error, and saving me from
some extra pain. So I just need to get some good ARP studs, 7/16
all the way like I was running before for the extra stiffness.
