Although it does help reduce costs, that was not the primary reason for doing it this way. What is the point of printing up a ton of books that are no longer viable the month after they arrive at the user's door?
Hell, the only news magazine left is Time. Newsweek and U.S. News and World report are now only on-line.
I don't know if we will get lower rates, but at least they won't have to go up, to pay for the printed GCR, which everyone will throw in a drawer, since they are immediately obsolete.
