David --

Just curious. You have expressed a lot of negativity about this class and have had some rather colorful negative comments about current competitors (Why are AS FP drivers so full of...

The car, with its larger brakes and bigger wheels (and possibly tires) should be competitive with other AS cars. At Summit Point this past weekend, the Saturday race, Danny and Brian Licklider (who,...

Michael --

Since no one has built or raced the 5th gen in RP form, it is unlikely the ASAC will make pre-build changes (I am not speaking for them, just passing along some history and my...

why did we build another 3rd gen

Dean --

Because I did the research and it was the lowest cost option for us. We had 4 months till we were on track. It was also the lowest time option for us. And problems have been more of the...

4.6 Liter Fords

I will agree with both Andy and Jim. From everything I have heard, researched, and experienced about the 4.6 Liter engines, they just can't be made to get the kind of power that other AS cars (FP...

Restrictor plate and rev limiter

It is my understanding (if I am wrong, please someone correct me), that these two items will be taken up at the virtual convention by the BOD. And, that if they pass those items, they will be...

There are changes in the Tech Bulletin to some of the spec lines, and you should check to see if it will affect you.

restrictor plate, easy

Tim and Jim --

Just go to ebay and type in "restrictor plate for Holley 4150" and there are a bunch of old NASCAR ones for $15 plus shipping. None will have the 39 mm hole, but, will all be less...

Restrictor

I'm guessing that the one specified in the rule change is for all the carb cars at this point, since no carb car spec lines were listed in the rule change. I don't even want to think about the...

Whether or not the restrictor rule is passed by the BOD, I have been preparing for it. My engine builder has found a source for it, but he must order 5 of them at a time. I only need one,...

Since it is now a REC item, it is going out...

FYI, 255 tires

Just a note that currently, Hoosier doesn't make a 17 inch 255 tire. For our class, the 255 would be a 16 inch wheel. Many of us have moved over to the 17 inch wheels and would need to buy new 16...
