Sorry I didn't get back to you this afternoon. I think tech could have check a few more things. When I won, they checked bore and stroke, rod material, wheel size and thats it. But that was GT. I think in AS they should take the leader down to the crank.
Measure crank weight
Rod length
bore and stroke
Valve size and job on 2 different cylinders
Trans gear ratios
piston count on calipers
rotor size
3rd member material (ferrous vs non-ferrous)
Was I happy on what they check. Sure, I knew Andy was legal, he drive the snot out of that car we we where not at 100% of our game.
So if I win next year, I think you should make sure we have the correct SCCA decals on our car
On a side note, they should have a fund for tear down. Like a tow fund. A AS motor can cost up to $25K due to the "rules" I do not know "ANY" front runners that build there own motors, me included.
