Tom Sloe showed up for the weekend just before the 5 Minute mark with a broken left foot. Started at the back of the field. Andy’s engine expired on lap 11. Jason and Steve swapped positions and the lead several times. Neither knowing that Andy had pulled in. Jason Steve and Tom Sloe had a freight train going for awhile with Jason and Steve Swapping positions until Tom started to fade. Brian Doll passed Toth coming to the checker for 4th.
Was a great weekend! Congratulations to Jason for a Job well done along with all the other competitors.

And, was his broken foot from the crash at the Sprints, or something else?

No he fell of the last step on his porch last week. He has an old Fox Body he was driving Black and Red. He had it out one time before at Nelson. Had a high top Army Boot on so he could drive

That dude is committed. Gotta give the guy credit for making the show. Wonder if he will take that car to the runoffs or if another is in the works? I like the new story line this presents.

Congrats to Jason Von Kluge on his win. Jason has been our customer for a bit now ( he's a well liked guy) and its good to see him debut his new car with a win. He uses Joe Soller at Champion (also good people) for power. Good job Jason.

Steve Hynes has a Joe Soller prepared motor also. When I had my car I used Joe also.

It was a late decision to go. Tom being on crutches for 5 days and both Tom and I had other commitments on Saturday. An opportunity for a "T1" ride may occur, so we wanted to make sure we have are "starts" for "AS" class. We drove through the night to the track and started at the back of the field. We went for the "start" and everything after that was a bonus. We are very happy with the third place and a great effort for the "arrive and drive" show.

I wish would could have had more time to prep the car for the race. We went with a set up that we would have made adjustments to but didn't have the time being the first group out after a schedule change.

It was a great race for the top three after Andy dropped out. Jason and Steve battling it out and Tom lurking in their shadows waiting for his opportunity. He had a shot and drove too hard into turn one and "Kyle'd" the right front. He later dropped back driving on the cords. Brian, Tom and Mark caught up to him and he had his hands full driving the car with the right front "through the cords"....really....no cords left. One more lap and the tire would have gone. Thanks for not rotating him guys. Great racing.

The Fox body is being driven by Scott Lane in National events and rented out for Regionals at Nelson Ledges by Dale Gephart. Scott has some good finishes in his National starts and Dale has won 4 out of 4 Regional races this year. This car is available for rental at Nationals, Regionals and Driver schools. Email me for more information.
