This was my first time at Summit Point. Saturday sucked, rained all day, so practice and qualifying were done in a steady rain. Sunday was a different story as we had clear skies and sun. Temp made it to the low 60's by race time.
1. Heinrocket 1:22.936 **
2. Monty Cowles 1:23.272 **
3. Joe Trepani 1:24.520
4. Tom Sloe 1:23.841 **
5. Steve Hynes 1:24.159
6. Pam Richardson 1:30.022
7. Dwaine Koscielniak 1:34.222
8. Kenny Lubash 1:27.260 DNF
9. Chris Ihara 1:26.721 DNF

** Better than existing Track Record

Wish I had more seat time at this track, washout Saturday didn't help much.

Was Heinricy in the same car that he had at the 2005 Runoffs (dark blue 4th Gen Firebird) or did he have a different car?

I wasn't there but I am pretty certain that John was in the same car as last year.

Yep, John was in the same car. He ran in T2 also I think driving a Cobalt.

Run Group 6 GT1 ,2,3, and AS,
Run Group 7 T1, T2, T3, SSB, SSC Heinricy was a Late Entry in Both Groups.
Andrew Aquilante was in a Viper. Joe Aquilante was in a Cobalt in T3, so maybe Heinrocket did drive the T1 Vette. I was in to much of a hurry to get out of there for the 9 Hour drive Home.

He'd race a Vee if GM sold them...

He'd race a Vee if GM sold them...Wouldn't we all! As long as it has 4 wheels (or mabye even a snowmobile) I'd race it. Two wheeled motorcycles, however, are NOT on my list of things to road race. Motocross is as far as I'll go, but not on asphalt.....those guys are NUTS!

Speaking of racing almost anything, I knew a guy once who said "I'd drive a car painted pink with a big Playtex logo on the side if they'd give me a full sponsorship". Hmmmmmm....
