Last race for MIDIV at MAM, near Omaha.
Track record is my 1:41.595 from early race, last season.

Sat practice:
wheel 1:40.775
Tim White 1:44.701
Kim McDonald 1:46.901
Jack Martin 1:49.242
David Venhaus 1:55.838

Sun Qualifying:
wheel 1:42.352
Tim 1:43.571
David 1:45.492
Jack 1:47.571

Sun National Race:
wheel 1:43.647
Tim 1:44.316
David 1:45.499
Jack 1:46.770

David had a loose steering rack, on Saturday. Tim's fast lap and my fast lap were both on lap #2. David, still learning the track, had his fast lap on lap #14 of 21. The track really started to go away to fluids and build up, or he would have continued to drop his times through the end of the race. I got a good start and that was pretty much the race. Tim hung with me for the whole race, and held off an improving Venhaus. Fun weekend, with no blow-ups or damage to anyone.

David never let up and I had driven the tires off the car trying to keep Wheel in sight. I wasn't comfortable until one lap to go, I could keep the gap to David a reasonable distance but never enough to be comfortable. The push into the corners was getting worse and the drifting coming out of the corners was making it hard to keep the car on the track. I can only assume David was battling the same, I would look up in the mirror and witness some good drifting. Jack is starting to make progress, if a couple of other drivers come back next year it could get very interesting.

Hey I meant to ask ... where has Tucker been?? I haven't seen his name in any of the results.

Maybe Wheel knows more but the cam issue that Tucker had at MAM back in May might have something to do with not racing more this year.
