Why was T Wallace listed as 7th?

08-15-2005, 09:08 AM
T & S did not count my out lap from starting in the pits. We didn't check results until right as they were posting final (still a little hungover from the thrash I guess).

So they got it fixed, but late in the day. There will be some that left the track not aware of the correction -- but the results were corrected.

Tom started in a back up car and had to start from last grid position. He worked his way through the field and thats where he ended up.

Tom so did they make a correction then to the final that was posted when I left, the sheet I picked up did say final results on it.

They did in fact post official results twice. So, if you were prompt in getting yours, then those results will be superceded by the late afternoon version.

Where there any hanging chads on the early results?

Congrads to Ed Hosni for setting a new track record.

OK, I grew up in the mitten. So I have no idea what a hanging chad is?

You must remember the Presidential election where the first results from Florida included "hanging chads" or the little pieces of paper that they punch out of the ballots. The big question was whether they counted if the chad was still hanging on the hole.

Nice job Ed. You've got that car hooked up.

This is the part where I'll stick up for little brother, because he won't. John Heinricy actually holds the qualifying (and overall) record at 1:26.628 set in August '03 and Brian Wallace holds race record at 1:27.034 set in May '05.

For whatever reason SCCA/Grattan has not been able to keep accurate track records since at least 1995. So I wouldn't expect that record to go on the books, unless something has changed.

I'm glad to see we are not the only division that has some trouble keeping track records straight. It has gotten better here since the transponder change, but there are still a few in the Midwest Division that are not correct.
