WE MUST DO BETTER!!

Actually, I thought we were higher than 12th last year. The surprising thing about the numbers this year is that GT1 is stronger than we are!

I would post a link to the report, but since it is an exercise in frustration to attempt to use or search the SCCA sight... I won't.

Looks like it is no better at the regional level. The SARRC championship (SIC) only produced two (2) AS cars. Yea, I know I wasn't one of them and I have a handful of excuses, but the point is made. And I'm still waiting on the first '09 points race at VIR to come on-line, I fear it is going to be cancelled. :(

it doesnt look like its possible to run the sarrc and the ecr together. i really need seat time and 90 minutes is so much more track time than 30 and so much a better buy.

if i can start in the back for the big bore group without qualifying, i may for the added seat time. The way the schedule is the group 8 qualifying session is right before the group 1 ecr.

Forget about the ECR, spend the coin on the Friday test day, it's well worth it and same price for more track time. Group 8 gets screwed, practice and qual Sat AM then we don't race until late afternoon Sun. then 4hr tow home...:censored:

are you sure the test day is a better bargain?

4 25 minute sessions. $260

90 minute ecr. practice, qualifying, and 90 minute race. $250.

ecr #1 is first session after lunch on saturday.
ecr #2 is the last session before lunch on sunday.

that means I can load up noonish after impound. then a four hour haul home.

lets look at this again. $260 for the test day and $185 for the SARRC race. Thats $450 for 4 25 minute sessions on the test and then practice, qualifying and a 30 minute race that could be cut to 20 minutes like it was last year because its at the end of the day.

OR

ECR 1 $250 and ECR 2 $225(multi race discount). Thats $475 for practice and qualifying for each ECR and two 90 minute races.

Thats roughly 2 hours of test time and 1 hour of practice, qual and sarrc. 3 hours. VS. 1 hour of practice and qualifying and 3 hours of ecr racing. 4 hours. add the 4:30pm exit time for the SARRC race and the noon exit for the ecr and........

btw...the registration links are all down again.
